Unlike previous series, "Deformiterra" delves deeper into deformation of character in relation to its surroundings, suggesting a tautology between mental pollution and that of nature. A superficial reading of this work reveals a strong presence of the artist's Ego, an impression that quickly dissipates upon further involvement, instead bringing the observer, given sufficient courage, into the process of vivisection of their own tissue, as if awake under local anesthesia, feeling the artist's quill penetrate, much like a surgeon's knife, into the dark alleyways of their subconscious, releasing fears, emotional knots, sexual impulses, deep tensions, just under the shell that is our skin.
