FERVENT CONFLUX is an evocative journey through fragmented worlds, where the ruins of a bygone reality become a sandbox for creative reconstruction. The exhibition presents a kaleidoscopic collision of materials—resin, bones, metal, wood, copper, glass, and ink—assembled into collages and sculptural objects of variable dimensions. Each piece embodies the essence of a disrupted world, channeling the spirit of a collapsing civilization into raw and visceral forms. By salvaging the debris of what was once familiar, the work invites viewers to partake in a playful yet unsettling descent into barbarism, where remnants of the past are reimagined as building blocks for new narratives.
Drawing inspiration from the disintegration of Yugoslavia and its torn identities, as well as the discarded remnants of old furniture and domestic relics, FERVENT CONFLUX transforms decay into possibility. The installations embrace impermanence, embodying change and chaos through their fragmented compositions. The works explore the tension between destruction and creation, reflecting on humanity’s compulsion to rebuild even amid devastation. This interplay of the real and the imagined creates a disorienting yet hopeful atmosphere, urging viewers to confront their own notions of what it means to reconstruct a world from the ruins of another.
